Site for the indie game studio in Princeton, Illinois: five craftspeople with no managers and no hierarchy, and their first title, The Penumbra Directive, a political strategy thriller set in 1992 Spain. The site introduces the studio, how it works and the game, with individual team pages and writing that reads like the game itself.

An indie studio competes for attention against enormous catalogs. The site could not be a corporate brochure: it had to carry the game's tone — political, dense, meant to be read between the lines — from the first scroll, and introduce five specific people instead of an anonymous brand.
We built a custom site with long-form writing and typography with real character, individual team pages and a section of its own for The Penumbra Directive. No heavy CMS: content versioned in the repository and a static deploy, which is what a five-person studio can maintain without assigning anyone to it full time.
