Orbit Desktop
Orbit's mouse-driven interface, running on your laptop and not on your server.
There is no application yet. What there is, is the technical bible: the architecture, the contract, the design system, the threat model and the test plan, written before the code and on purpose.
There is no application to download yet: what is published is the technical design.
It connects over SSH with the keys you already have. The server gains no process, no port and no byte of state: it has exactly the same standing as your terminal.

Orbit refuses to have a web panel, and the reason is a good one: it self-elevates to root and runs arbitrary commands, so a panel on top of that would not be a panel, it would be a root shell exposed to the internet. Orbit Desktop is the other answer to the same question.

It never writes on the server
It does not touch /etc/nginx, /etc/orbit or systemd: it only invokes orbit. An app's .conf is sourced from Bash, so it is code that runs as root — writing there from a window is not editing data.
The server gains nothing
No process, no port, no file. If Orbit Desktop disappeared tomorrow, the server would not notice.
It speaks SSH, not an API of its own
Your keys, your ssh-agent, your ~/.ssh/config with its ProxyJump. We do not invent authentication and we do not reimplement an SSH client.
Secrets do not cross the contract
orbit env list gives the names of the variables. A value is asked for one at a time and deliberately: a panel that shows the whole .env leaks the database password in the first screenshot somebody pastes into an issue.
What is not known is not painted as a value
A null is not a zero. "I could not ask" is not "there are no changes". A zero is a claim.
Multi-server, for free
A client that speaks SSH to several servers is v2.0's orbit remote add, with no control plane and no daemon. It falls out of the architecture rather than out of a feature somebody has to write.
